Join us SATURDAY, JULY 16 for a morning of hiking + yoga
Hike: “Easy” 2.4 miles round-trip, mostly flat with gentle ups and downs
Yoga: 60 minute all-levels slow flow yoga class
Date/Time: Saturday, July 16 7:45am – 12pm
HIKE
Just outside of Sultan, WA is the beautiful Spada Lake. We’ll meet at the entrance to Spada Lake (aka Olney Pass Kiosk) at 7:45am and then drive/caravan together to the South Shore Trailhead parking lot. At 8:15am we’ll hike the mostly-flat 1.2 miles to the Bear Creek viewpoint. Here, we’ll soak up the stunning views of the aqua-tinted Spada Lake and enjoy a yoga class in a large, grassy clearing. The trailhead is about a 1 hour 20 min drive from Everett, Seattle, or Bellevue. While the trail is mostly flat, there are a couple stream crossings. Waterproof shoes (or hiking sandals) recommended!
YOGA
When we arrive at the Bear Creek picnic area, we’ll set up our mats in the large grassy clearing. The yoga practice will be a 60-minute slow-flow vinyasa yoga class, focusing on strengthening, stretching, breathing, and connecting to nature. The yoga practice is all-levels – designed for beginner and experienced yogis alike! After yoga, we’ll hike back together.
MEET UP DETAILS
Space is limited to 12 participants. Free to attend. Optional donations (to support organization and yoga instruction) can be sent to Venmo @pnwyoga (suggested $35). Meet-up is geared for adults; mature teens or children are welcome to attend with their grown-up.
We’ll meet up rain or shine. In severe/unsafe weather, the meet-up will be rescheduled or cancelled.
