Date/Time: Saturday June 1, 8am – 1pm

HIKE

We’ll gather at the Barclay Lake Trailhead at 8:00am for coffee and tea. At 8:15am we’ll hike the 2.2 miles to the lake. This hike has gentle elevation, gaining just 500ft over 2 miles. There are some switchbacks, but most of the hike is flat or gentle incline. It is a beautiful forested hike, with stunning views of Mt. Baring, old growth forest, and the lake.

As needed, we can break into smaller groups to respect the trail and support different paces.  More info on the trail here: https://www.wta.org/go-hiking/hikes/barclay-lake

YOGA

When we arrive at the lake, we will set up our mats on the sandy shore or under the canopy of the trees. The yoga practice will be a 60 minute slow-flow Vinyasa yoga practice, focusing on strengthening, stretching, breathing, and connecting to nature. The yoga practice is all-levels – designed for beginner and experienced yogis alike!

MEET UP DETAILS

Space is limited to 20 participants. The meet up fee goes toward the yoga instruction, with 5% of proceeds donated to Washington Trail Association. We’ll also hook you up with coffee/tea/snacks/smiles before and after the yoga hike. We’ll meet up rain or shine. In severe/unsafe weather, I will reschedule the meet up and/or offer a yoga credit to all registered guests to attend a future yoga hike.

What to Bring: Your own yoga mat, a towel (for under or over your mat, especially if it’s a little wet out), hiking shoes, clothes comfortable for hiking and yoga (layers highly recommended), water, and lunch or additional snacks. More tips on what to bring will be emailed out to registered participants prior to the event.

I have two scholarships available, please email me at pnwoutdooryoga@gmail.com and tell me a little bit about yourself to request a scholarship.
