  • June 1, 2019
    8:00 am - 1:00 pm

Join us Saturday, June 1 for a yoga hike at barclay lake

Hike: “Easy” 4.4 miles, roundtrip with gentle elevation (500ft) gain

Yoga: 60 minute all-levels Vinyasa-style yoga class

Date/Time: Saturday June 1, 8am – 1pm

This meet up is full! Check out or Facebook for more upcoming yoga hikes. I look forward to connecting with you in the outdoors!

We’ll gather at the Barclay Lake Trailhead at 8:00am for coffee and tea. At 8:15am we’ll hike the 2.2 miles to the lake. This hike has gentle elevation, gaining just 500ft over 2 miles. There are some switchbacks, but most of the hike is flat or gentle incline. It is a beautiful forested hike, with stunning views of Mt. Baring, old growth forest, and the lake.

As needed, we can break into smaller groups to respect the trail and support different paces.  More info on the trail here:

When we arrive at the lake, we will set up our mats on the sandy shore or under the canopy of the trees. The yoga practice will be a 60 minute slow-flow Vinyasa yoga practice, focusing on strengthening, stretching, breathing, and connecting to nature. The yoga practice is all-levels – designed for beginner and experienced yogis alike!

Space is limited to 20 participants. The meet up fee goes toward the yoga instruction, with 5% of proceeds donated to Washington Trail Association. We’ll also hook you up with coffee/tea/snacks/smiles before and after the yoga hike. We’ll meet up rain or shine. In severe/unsafe weather, I will reschedule the meet up and/or offer a yoga credit to all registered guests to attend a future yoga hike.

What to Bring: Your own yoga mat, a towel (for under or over your mat, especially if it’s a little wet out), hiking shoes, clothes comfortable for hiking and yoga (layers highly recommended), water, and lunch or additional snacks. More tips on what to bring will be emailed out to registered participants prior to the event.

I have two scholarships available, please email me at and tell me a little bit about yourself to request a scholarship.

I am a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT® 200), passionate about combining community, yoga, and the outdoors. I look forward to hosting several yoga hike meet-ups this spring, summer, and fall. When not in the mountains, you can find me teaching at local yoga studios around the Seattle, Eastside, and Everett areas.

Registrations and yoga meet up fees are non-refundable and are not transferable from one date to another, however they are exchangeable from one person to another.  In the event the meet up is cancelled or postponed due to severe weather, I will provide a credit for a future outdoor yoga meet up. All meet up attendees are required to sign a waiver to participate. The hike meet up and yoga class are at your own risk. The hike is not a guided hike, we will simply meet up and hike together to the yoga location. Waivers will be emailed to registered participants, or available day-of to sign.
